50th anniversary of Black Sabbath’s album ‘Black Sabbath’Hipworth
To celebrate their 50th anniversary of their debut album ‘Black Sabbath’ they’ll be hosting two listening parties in complete darkness.
Pitchback Playback have organised a high definition playback on Tuesday 11th February – two days before ‘Black Sabbath’ officially turns 50 – at the Number 10 venue in Hackney, East London. Attendees will wear face masks to take them into darkness.
There are two playbacks to choose from at 7.30pm and 8.30pm and tickets are on sale now. Unfortunately no members of Black Sabbath will be present.
A statement released bu Pitchback Payback says:
“Pitchback Playback is a series of listening sessions where music fans can listen to upcoming album releases and classic LPs like never before in cinemas and other intimate spaces.
“Not only that, they elevate the experience of listening to the music by staging it completely in the dark – providing the most immersive, detailed and visceral sound experience possible. Sabbath fans now have an opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the debut album ‘Black Sabbath’ in a uniquely heightened sensory experience.”
Looks like it would be a great experience and hopefully it will be in more places for the 51st Anniversary.
