AC/DC fans break Guinness World Record with air guitar tribute
A festival crowd has let there be rock by breaking a Guinness World Record with around 4,000 people strumming air guitar to the AC/DC classic – ‘Highway to Hell’
The festival was held in Perth and included tributes to the late AC/DC singer Bon Scott on the 40th anniversary of his death. The opening of the festival was opened with a successful attempt at breaking the Guinness World Record attempt for largest air guitar ensemble.
The large ensemble was lead by air guitar champion, Alex ‘Jinja Assassin’ Roberts.
Perth Festival posted on their instagram page: “YOU ROCK! We’ve done it – we smashed the world record for biggest air guitar gathering at 3722 people. Thanks for sharing the stage with us!”
AC/DC have a new album on the way and it will feature a number of songs recorded with the late Malcolm Young. No dates have been confirmed as yet but it will feature Brian Johnson back on vocals and also back is Phil Rudd back on drums.
AC/DC‘s next album will feature a number of surprises involving the late Malcolm Young, according to Twisted Sister’s Dee Snider.
