Dave Grohl gets annoyed with James Corden playing Foo Fighters songs on keyboard.

Dave Grohl appeared on The Late Late Show With James Corden. On a segment called ‘James that Tune’ Corden plays songs, baldy on his keyboard and his guests have to guess the song.

If you like watching things that make you cringe then this could be something for you. It’s rather uncomfortable. Grohl was joined with Hilary Duff and the pair had to guess the songs Corden was smashing out on keyboard. Corden says to Grohl “You should know it” hinting he’s going to play a Foo Fighters song. Hilary or Dave never guessed the songs he was trying to play.

At the start of the segment, it already became annoying when Corden was pressing numerous keys trying to select a preset where then Grohl shouted out “Just play the fucking song, man.” Corden mashes at the keyboard hardly resembling any Foo Fighters tune, where the Grohl guesses “Everlong”? and then Corden reveals it to be “Learn To Fly”. I guess it’s part of the joke that Corden can’t play the keyboard but this goes on for another two songs.

Duff and Grohl seemed bored waiting for the next song to play as Duff let out a sigh. The keyboard was mashed again and Corden repeated “You…should know it” then he added the “drums” which was just one button being mashed. Neither guessed the song. Corden reveals it was “My Hero”.

Corden says “This is the last one” which Grohl responds with “Promise?”. Whilst Corden is preparing to play the final song, Duff and Grohl talk about finding a SmashBurger in the Valley. Which is more interesting than Corden’s keyboard playing in my opinion. Corden eventually gets his guests attention and plays an abysmal key mash of “Best of You”. Grohl said “I know what song it is but I’m afraid to say it for fear that people will think it sounds like that.”

The segment ends with Grohl looking annoyed as they cut away for a commercial break. Check out the clip below:
