Members of Nirvana to reform for charity benefit gig
Surviving members of Nirvana will reunite for the annual Heaven Is Rock and Roll gala in Los Angeles on Saturday 4th January. The surviving members will be Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear. There will also be performances by Beck, St. Vincent, Marilyn Manson, L7, Cheap Trick and Dave Grohl’s daughter, Violet Grohl.
The charity they are playing for is The Art of Elysium. It was founded in 1997 to “support individuals in the midst of difficult emotional life challenges like illness, hospitalization, displacement, confinement, and/or crisis,” according to the website. “We serve medically fragile children, teens, adults, seniors, those dealing with social, emotional and mental health issues and the homeless.”
The last time Dave Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear got together on stage was for a Foo Fighters concert back in 2018.
