Metallica’s drive in concert

As Covid has changed our way of lives and it’s changed the way we attend live music. Now bands including Metallica are having drive through gigs.

As every other major tours are cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Metallica recorded an audience-free show in Northern California a few weeks ago then the footage was broadcasted to drive in theatres around the USA weeks later.

So it’s not completely live but it’s close to seeing a real live show. There was no merchandise booths for fans to get their hands on any merch, but there was line of cars with Metallica songs pumping from their stereos.

Hetfield said to his fans “Music helps us through all things… including this, Alright, this next one has nothing to do with what I just said, but let’s play!”
