AC/DC topping the charts with "Power Up'

AC/DC's new album 'Power Up' is getting lots of passion from around the world. AC/DC have become the first band to have number one albums in five decades from a band from Australia.

Power Up is AC/DC's seventeenth album and it smashed straight to no.1 on the ARIA Charts. This marks the sixth time AC/DC has hit number one in Australia. The previous albums were Back in Black (1980), Live (1992), Ballbreaker (1995), Black Ice (2008), Rock Or Bust (2014) and now they can add Power Up (2020) to the list.

Slash of Guns N Roses said Power Up was "a fucking great record". I'm not sure if he would have said the same if Axl Rose was still the singer. The album wouldn't have come out as yet as Axl would still be redoing the songs...probably. Power Up also became the fastest selling album in UK for 2020.

Brian Johnson told a UK tabloid “We want to lift this gloom, We hope this is the album to do it because it’s just so carefree and non-political, nothing to do with anything except having a good time.”

Listen to the album below on Spotify, the band will make $0.0004 per play! (there about)

AC/DC fans just power up

It comes with a positive change from how AC/DC was four years ago when it looked like the band was about to collapse. Brian Johnson talks about how he's looking forward to getting the band back on the road again.

“You know, this isn’t over, you’ve got to stay attuned, because what we’re going to do is, we’re going to try to do a virtual video of the next song that we want to bring out off the album,” Brian said.

“The thing is, none of us has ever done this before, so it’s going to be brilliant, standing like a tit, by yourself, miming on a microphone because you know that we’re miming, and we know that you know that we know that you know that we’re miming, but still… it’s gonna be fun.

“Angus is gonna be playing down in Sydney, Phil (Rudd)’s gonna be whacking the drums in New Zealand, and Cliff (White)’s gonna be paddling away… he might even come up to join me, ’cause he’s not too far down the road.

“And Stevie (Young) somewhere in England. We hope to put an exciting video together.

Congrats to AC/DC on their success!
