Eddie Vedder plays with new band

Eddie Vedder played with a new band at the Ohana Festival in California. Kings of Leon were supported to play but cancelled their spot when their mother, Betty Ann Followill passed away. Eddie Vedder stepped in to fill the spot. He was joined with Chad Smith drummer of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Josh Klinghoffer ex RHCP guitarist and now touring guitarist of Pearl Jam and a few others.

The set went for an hour and included covers of Prince, Pretenders and R.E.M. They played a version of Vedder's solo single 'Long Road' and Vedder dedicated it to Jared, Nathan, Caleb Followill and their mother. The band also covered Kings of Leon's "Molly Chambers" song. Another person who performed with Vedder was his 17-year-old daughter, Olivia performing the song "My Father's Daughter". Additionally, the band debuted the track "Long Way" this will appear on Eddie Vedder's new album called Earthling.
