Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne biopic in the works

The Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne biopic that has been rumoured is now a reality. The film doesn't had a title as yet but it will look into the relationship between the Prince of Darkness and his longtime wife and manager - Sharon Osbourne. Sharon helped Ozzy throughout his career helping him launch his successful solo career and helped launch the Ozzfest tour festival. In the early 2000s she became a well known celebrity from the hugely successful MTV reality TV series The Osbournes.

Sharon Osbourne said in a statement “Our relationship at times was often wild, insane and dangerous, but it was our undying love that kept us together. We’re thrilled to partner with Sony Pictures and PolyGram to bring our story to the screen.”

In the video for Ozzy's 2019 single 'Under the Graveyard' it depicts Sharon attempting to help Ozzy get back on his feet after he was fired from Black Sabbath. This has given a little clue to the direction the new biopic will go. Jack Osbourne says "We are striving to make it gritty, real. We’re certainly going to do our best to do it justice."

Sharon and her children Jack and Aimee Osbourne are working as producers via their Osbourne Media Label. Previously Jack Osbourne has produced the God Bless Ozzy Osbourne documentary, the Biography: The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne documentary and the non Ozzy Osbourne series - Alpha Dogs on NetGeo.

The film is going to be as true as it can be, Sharon said “People are going to watch it and go, ‘This isn’t allowed. They shouldn't behave that way and put it on film,'" Sharon tells Daily Mail. She continued “But [we're] only talking the truth. Some people have volatile relationships and ours was very volatile. You grow to a stage where it sickens you. You grow to a stage where it physically makes you sick … but when you're young and, you know, you're fighting the world, it's different."

Polygram is the film and television part of Universal Music Group. Other works they have worked on are “The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?” from director Frank Marshall, and acclaimed docs about The Go-Go’s and the Beastie Boys. “The Velvet Underground” feature documentary from Todd Haynes, and a KISS biopic from director Joachim Ronning.

Zakk Wylde says he'll play on Ozzy Osbourne's new album

In other Ozzy news Zakk Wylde says he's going to play rhythm guitar on Ozzy's new album. He tells MusicRadar in a new interview "The new Ozzy stuff is sounding great. And for sure, it’s an honor to play on a record with all my heroes" He adds "It's pretty cool. … I can't wait for everyone to hear it. I’ve always loved Blow by Blow and Wired, but honestly every record Jeff Beck has put out is amazing."

He talks about the collaboration with Ozzy Osbourne and Beck "It definitely sounds slamming. The same goes for all the guys – what Tony Iommi played, and then Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, it's all killer for sure. On those tracks I'm playing rhythm guitar for my heroes … it's crazy! It sounds awesome, and I'm beyond honored to be doing it."
