Iron Maiden releases brand new track

Iron Maiden releases new music for the first time in six years

Iron Maiden releases new music for the first time in six years. In 2015 Iron Maiden released their "Book of Souls" album. It was Iron Maiden's first studio double album. Being a double album it was their longest running album. The album smashes in at a total length of 92 minutes and 11 seconds.

The new music wasn't a surprise to fans as there was leaks on their social media about possible new music. The band has a music video clip to go along with the music.

The animated music video clip

The new track is co-written by frontman Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith. The song tells the story of a defective world. A world laid to waste as told in the animation. With a dystopian festival that only the elite can enter. When one of the pleb tries to get in he gets destroyed by a power from above. The summation of the concept is seen on scrap metal with the words in latin - sic transit gloria mundi "So passes the glory of the world".

The video clip was made in collaboration with Pixar's Mark Andrews and Andrew Gordon (Finding Nemo, Brave and Incredibles) and BlinkInk animation studios. The animations themselves are Iron Maiden fans and have thrown in numerous Easter eggs. The video features the band's mascot, Eddie. Eddie featured as a full on 3D samurai. The video is awesome check it out below:
