The Metallica 40th Anniversary shows will be lived streamed for free. Presented by The Coda Collection will be a global streaming event for two nights. Powered by streaming giants Amazon Music and Prime Video. Above all it will show Metallica's performances on December 17 and December 19 at San Francisco's Chase Center.
Tickets were previously only available to members of Metallica's fifth member club. Metallica have given fans the chance to view their shows via Amazon Music, Twitch or Prime Video.
On Metallica's official site it said "In between shows during the weekend, you can continue your virtual 40th anniversary experience with the “SF Takeover Film Fest,â€. including Cunning Stunts and Orgullo, Pasión at the Coda Collection/Prime Video Channel. The 40th anniversary live stream and films are just the beginning as The Coda Collection. It will include a full slate of concert films, documentaries, and other nuggets. All airing on the channel exclusively throughout 2022. We’ll be joining an impressive array of artists! including the Foo Fighters, Jimi Hendrix, Grateful Dead, and many more featured on the streaming service."
